Tsinghua's 2024 New Year Gala
I was honored to perform my original 15-minute magic show, Departure , at Tsinghua’s 2024 New Year Gala, in front of an audience of over 2,000. In the show, I invited a random volunteer on stage and asked them to name their ideal travel destination. On the giant boarding pass at the center of the stage, their name and chosen destination were already printed! Click here for the full recording.
An opening card magic
The cards turned into plane tickets.
On the giant boarding pass were printed the volunteer's name and the chosen destination.
After the show, the boarding pass was left at the exit, where the audience eagerly signed it as a keepsake, symbolizing Departure in the New Year.
I am deeply grateful to all the friends and teachers who supported me throughout the preparation and performance, including Cheng Zi, Cancao Guo, Kunda Liu, Xiu Zhong, Hongyu Zhu, Junhao Wang, Jiawei Zhang, Sihan Li, Yuqian Chen, Xiaohan Gong, and others.
My sincere thanks to all the staff members involved in the show!
