Hi! I’m Zhengqin Shu, a senior undergraduate student of Tsien Excellence of Engineering Program (TEEP), Xingjian College, Tsinghua University, majoring in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and minoring in Software Engineering. My research focuses on studying wall-bounded turbulence employing both physics-based and data-driven approaches, providing new physical insights while also improving simulation methodologies.

Currently, I’m visiting Caltech and working with Prof. H. Jane Bae on the analogy of tuebulent Couette-Poiseuille (C-P) Flows and adverse-pressure-gradient turbulent boundary layers (APG TBLs). Previously, I worked with Prof. Chunxiao Xu on the history effects and coherent structures of wall-bounded turbulence.

Please refer to my CV for more details. In spare time, I am a magic enthusiast, and I also enjoy playing the guitar.

I am applying for a PhD position in 2026 Fall. Please drop me an email if you are interested, or just want to chat!
